Mississippi Man Indicted in Poisoned Letters Case.

Source: nyt/ap

A federal grand jury has indicted a Mississippi man suspected of sending poison-laced letters to President Barack Obama and other officials.

The 5-count indictment made public Monday charges 41-year-old James Everett Dutschke (pronounced DUHS'-kee) with developing, producing and stockpiling the poison ricin, threatening the president and others and attempting to impede the investigation.

If convicted on the charges, he could face life in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.

Dutschke was arrested April 27 at his home in Tupelo. He is suspected of mailing ricin-laced letters on April 8 to Obama, U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

Police may have a person of interest for ricin letters to Obama, Bloomberg

Investigators seeking the identity of the person who sent ricin-tainted letters to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and to President Obama say they now have a person of interest.

Police were captured on video on Thursday searching the area of a home in new Boston, Texas, CBS reported. Sources said the person who lives in that home was interviewed by the FBI in Texarkana, CBS said.

The ricin letter that was mailed to the White House earlier this week was very similar to the two that were mailed to Mr. Bloomberg, suspected of containing ricin, police said, in the CBS report. Police made an arrest in Spokane, Wash., connected to the ricin-tainted letter mailed to Mr. Obama that was intercepted on May 22.

Secret Service officials said the White House letter was similar to the two mailed to Mr. Bloomberg, postmarked from Louisiana, CBS said.

These cowardly criminals with too much time and money on their hands all look the same. They wear a smug expression as if they are sooo clever. Possibly from years of listening to Rush, O'Reilly and Beck. They need to do hard time for this shit.

If they weren't sending poisoned poison pen letters through the mail, this would be hilarious...

Now the rumor is that the latest one arrested in Texas was from a divorce, maybe?

Is killing public officials now some kind of sporting event?

Couple At Center Of Ricin Case Points Fingers At Each Other

A Texas couple at the center of the investigation into ricin-tainted letters sent to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg are reportedly trading accusations back and forth. CBS News said Nathan Richardson told investigators his wife, Shannon, is attempting to frame him for the mailings. Meanwhile, Shannon Richardson allegedly told family members she believed her husband was trying to poison her and had a “racist” anger towards the president.

The letters were sent late last month to Obama, Bloomberg, and Mark Glaze, the director of the gun control group co-founded by Bloomberg. No one was seriously injured by the letters, which blasted gun control efforts. The FBI reportedly began focusing on Nathan Richardson after Shannon Richardson contacted law enforcement and said she saw “strange material” in their refrigerator and ricin-related searches on their home computer.

Nathan Richardson, who works at a local army depot, was questioned last Thursday. Shannon Richardson, an actress with bit parts in television shows and movies on her resume, was taken by investigators to a local courthouse near the couple’s home in New Boston, Tex. on Friday. According to news station KSLA, the FBI concluded a search of the Richardsons’ house Saturday after shutting down a nearby street for much of the day.

April 27? How come it took so long to announce the arrest, I wonder.
