Holder says he has no intention of stepping down

Source: NBC News

Amid calls by some congressional Republicans for his resignation, Attorney General Eric Holder told NBC News Wednesday that he has no intentions of stepping down.

Holder has been embroiled in a furor over a Justice Department subpoena of Associated Press phone records and an investigation of leaks to Fox News correspondent James Rosen.

Holder told NBC he is uncomfortable with how some of the leak investigations have progressed. Although he approved some of the steps in the investigation, he said laws and regulations forced his hand and should be changed.

"I'm a little concerned that things have gotten a little out of whack ... I think we can do a better job than we have. We can reform those regulations, reform those guidelines to better reflect that balance,” he said.

Reno, I'm a little ambivalent about, but at least she wasn't corrupt or brain dead or both like most GOP AGs.

But if the republicans want him out, he should stay.

Besides he'd probably just be replaced with somebody even worse.

of the last two Attorney Generals and just who do you think would be better? As far as I'm concerned, he can stay where he is, and proceed to investigate more. He just need more encouragement to face up to these Bullies. I'm waiting for the Day when he turns the table on Issa. I'm very interested to see what comes out of this DOJ investigation of the IRS. The Republicans might have broke some laws. Lerner claims she broke no Laws. I'm just wondering who put her up to that apology? All, we know, the Republicans could have put her up to it. Issa's involvement smells.

because he never tells the Republicans to "go f---k yourselves". He starts every negotiation by handing them half of whatever they want, then negotiating away half of whatever is left.

issue around here.

But, I'm glad he's letting the corp media and gopricks know.. he's not leaving.

Not everyone hates Holder..

In Meridian Mississippi, where 4 of every 10 kids lives below the poverty line the public schools have been routinely jailing black children for offenses like: wrong color socks.

In Meridian, when schools want to discipline children, they do much more than just send them to the principal’s office. They call the police, who show up to arrest children who are as young as 10 years old. Arrests, the Department of Justice says, happen automatically, regardless of whether the police officer knows exactly what kind of offense the child has committed or whether that offense is even worthy of an arrest. The police department’s policy is to arrest all children referred to the agency.
