KANSAS CITY, Kan., June 6 (Reuters) - The man imprisoned for killing Kansas late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller will be penalized for trying to intimidate a woman who reopened Tiller's clinic, a state official said Thursday.
Scott Roeder will spend 45 days alone in his cell for 23 hours a day, with one hour in the prison yard for exercise, and will have reduced privileges for another 60 days, Kansas Department of Corrections spokesman Jeremy Barclay said.
An administrator made the decision following a hearing for Roeder this week, Barclay said
Roeder, serving a life sentence for shooting Tiller to death at a church in 2009, said in an April YouTube telephone interview with Iowa abortion opponent Dave Leach that reopening the clinic was "a shame and a disgrace" and risky for the new operator.
"To walk in there and reopen a clinic, a murder mill where a man was stopped, is almost like putting a target on your back saying, 'Well, let's see if you can shoot me,'" Roeder said in the interview.

That's SOP for extremist fringe groups with cult followings...Keep making these loaded public statements and feign shock when one of the followers employs a second amendment solution...

They still have constitutional rights but those rights can be limited, at least for the period of their incarceration.
They should absolutely have the ability to communicate with family, friends, spiritual leaders, etc. for the purpose of their own personal reasons.
They should be absolutely prohibited from engaging in any communication (and their contacts on the outside should be also expressly prohibited in facilitating) that extends beyond very narrow personal relations. They should not have any ability to communicate religious, political or other views to anyone other than the immediate "listener".
Any violation should be subject to at a minimum of his punishment. He should by now realize that, despite his personal beliefs, society condemns his actions. if he wasn't stupid he should also understand that any attempt to perpetrate those ideas and/or engage in threats or harm to another will be dealt severely.
Personally I think his punishment should have gone for a minimum of 6 months of 23 hours a day in his cell.

He wants power. Power to dictate to women what they can and can't do.

Now, as Chris Hedges has reported, "all messages to her and from her (are) being vetted by prison authorities." See this DU thread from April.
Meanwhile, an actual murderer who's in prison has complete liberty to communicate threats and incitements to additional murders.
