Texas woman arrested in ricin letters to Obama, Bloomberg: Officials

Source: NBC News

A Texas woman has been arrested in connection with the mailing of three letters containing a form of the poison ricin to President Obama, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, federal authorities said.

Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson of New Boston, Texas, originally called the Federal Bureau of Investigation claiming that her husband had sent the letters, officials said. The investigators found that she had sent the letters herself, they said.

The woman was arrested in Arkansas on charges that will be filed Friday afternoon, the authorities said.

“Vampire Diaries” and “Walking Dead” actress Shannon Rogers Guess has made headlines after accusing her husband of sending ricin to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Obama. In an unsuspected twist, her estranged husband, Nathaniel Richardson, is now claiming that he’s been set up by his pregnant wife.

Guess, 36, reported her Army veteran husband to authorities when she discovered a container of ricin in her Texarkana, Texas, home last week. “She thought he was injecting it into her food and drinks,” Guess’ 19-year-old son, Branden, revealed to the New York Post. “She told me she was trying to be as careful as possible. She didn’t eat unless it was straight from the store to her hand, basically.” Her fears were fueled when the couple’s home computer turned up searches for how to make ricin and an order for castor beans.

Turning her husband in, authorities were unable to hold Richardson due to lack of evidence. Richardson is now claiming that the couple filed for divorce and that his wife set him up.

Did she find it in a Tupperware labeled "Ricin"? Odd thing to do if you're poisoning your wife. Especially since an amount of it is enough to kill you.

Is it a publicity stunt to send poison in the mail or part of nasty divorce?

Infowars will call it a false flag, no doubt. This country is getting more bizarre everyday...

before all the facts come out. But there have been other arrests of the exact same thing. Seems like a lot of them all around the same time. Here's one:

Mississippi men's feud looms over ricin probe

...Before Curtis left jail, authorities had already descended on the home of 41-year-old Everett Dutschke in Tupelo, a northeast Mississippi town best known as the birthplace of the King himself. On Wednesday, they searched the site of a Tupelo martial arts studio once operated by Dutschke, who hasn't been arrested or charged...

But here, they arrested him later:

Mississippi Man Indicted in Poisoned Letters Case.

A federal grand jury has indicted a Mississippi man suspected of sending poison-laced letters to President Barack Obama and other officials.

The 5-count indictment made public Monday charges 41-year-old James Everett Dutschke (pronounced DUHS'-kee) with developing, producing and stockpiling the poison ricin, threatening the president and others and attempting to impede the investigation.

If convicted on the charges, he could face life in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.

Dutschke was arrested April 27 at his home in Tupelo. He is suspected of mailing ricin-laced letters on April 8 to Obama, U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

Couple At Center Of Ricin Case Points Fingers At Each Other

A Texas couple at the center of the investigation into ricin-tainted letters sent to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg are reportedly trading accusations back and forth. CBS News said Nathan Richardson told investigators his wife, Shannon, is attempting to frame him for the mailings. Meanwhile, Shannon Richardson allegedly told family members she believed her husband was trying to poison her and had a “racist” anger towards the president.

The letters were sent late last month to Obama, Bloomberg, and Mark Glaze, the director of the gun control group co-founded by Bloomberg. No one was seriously injured by the letters, which blasted gun control efforts. The FBI reportedly began focusing on Nathan Richardson after Shannon Richardson contacted law enforcement and said she saw “strange material” in their refrigerator and ricin-related searches on their home computer.

Nathan Richardson, who works at a local army depot, was questioned last Thursday. Shannon Richardson, an actress with bit parts in television shows and movies on her resume, was taken by investigators to a local courthouse near the couple’s home in New Boston, Tex. on Friday. According to news station KSLA, the FBI concluded a search of the Richardsons’ house Saturday after shutting down a nearby street for much of the day.

Threatening letter to Bloomberg tests positive for ricin

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014495363

Third Letter Sent to President Obama, Similar to NY Mayor Ricin Letters

It wasn't known if any viable forensic evidence was discovered on the letters sent to Washington or the White House. All three mailings read in part: "You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die."

http://sync.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=496217

I don't know about you, but the language in threat seems to read right off a RW blog, using the same phrases in many of them.
And all these people are making weaponized or a home made version of Ricin to kill people at the same time? Is it all being coordinated by some RWNJs?

Of course they could just be calling or emailing each other, or chatting on websites. That was how the government caught the gang of pedophiles by going through the records of the guy from the UK who planned to kidnap, rape, torture and eat children in his torture room. And that was part of the email sweep on the police office who was contacting people of how to kill, torture and eat his own wife, and going through public records and scoping out other women to do the same thing.

These folks get in contact with each other in some way.. UGH.

This would be the perfect time for this couple to stage a thing like this - but they did find Ricin this time, too. I don't think she made that in the kitchen. And why would she send it to all of these people because of him?

Sorry to to be confusing with too many links, but I was trying to see if they seemed to know each other to speculate if this wife was politically motivated...

It would seem like she would be too busy at work to get involved in this politically. But if she got that Ricin from someone, she might want to tell where. Then there'll be another arrest.

I guess it will come out later. It seems to the season of Ricin...

In pictures like that the guns are usually supplied by the agency that they are modeling for. For that matter, the bikini & shoes are usually supplied also. All she has to supply is a hot body.

You are correct that clothes/props are often provided but by no means always, depends a lot on the purpose of the shoot and this one doesn't really look like that sort.
