Texas lawmakers debate closing nearly all the state’s abortion clinics

Source: Rawstory (live video stream from Texas Tribune)

The Texas House of Representatives has just graveled in to debate legislation that will close all but five of the state’s abortion clinics.

Sunday’s debate is expected to progress into the night, following days of protests kicked off by the Senate voting 20-10 in favor of the bill.

Democrats, who are vastly in the minority, are expected to try and delay the proceedings by any means necessary to prevent the legislation from coming up for a vote. In other words, if the discussion in the video below doesn’t seem to have anything to do with abortion, it’s probably a parliamentary inquiry, which Democrats are using to gum up the process as much as possible.

What does the one have to do with the other?

Seriously, I find it curious that this response seems to always make it into the abortion conversation. Particularly when you know there is absolutely no chance in hell anyone is ever going to do it or even bring it up.

It's weird.

But I don't understand why.

Viagara=Sex

Sex=Pregnancy (Sometimes it does things like that)

Pregnancy=A very good or very bad outcome

A very bad outcome=Possible reasons for aborting.

And all this because of a tiny little blue pill.

Cause and Effect

Sure, some younger people use it recreationally but really, Viagra is for old men that can't get it up anymore. I seriously doubt the over fifty crowd is causing many unwanted pregnancies that result in abortion. The argument seems ridiculous to me.

I'm not mad at anyone.

This is some sick shit. And they did this all in special session, without the standard notice and debate, a process usually reserved for emergencies. This will kill women.

I would also like to thank Rachel Maddow for giving this story national coverage on her MSNBC primetime show. The protests were big news on most Texas news stations. Thank you brave folks - it looked similar to protests in Wisconsin over a year ago. Maybe the "sleeping Giant" is waking up: Here is another article to read:
