The publisher for Dylan Davies, the source of "60 Minutes" controversial Benghazi report, announced on Friday that they are pulling his book "in light of information" brought to their attention since it's publication.
Threshold Editions, a subsidiary of Simon & Schuster, which is owned by CBS, said on Friday they are notifying stores that copies of the book, titled "The Embassy House," can be returned to the publisher, New York Times' Julie Bosman tweeted.

(3,056 posts)That sound you hear is Republican/Tea Party heads exploding all over the country. Yet another talking point proven to be a lie. Now let's see if they actually admit it on their "news" programs, and not buried somewhere as some vague apology.

(46,025 posts)They'll see this as persecution of a patriot. They'll howl about how his free speech has been denied, as if everyone in the country has a first amendment right to a lucrative book contract. This'll make him a martyr and a hero to them.

(14,093 posts)It will be a conspiracy; Obama forced him to recant or something, and the liberal media went along with it!
why would certain sellers give the book up. It's now what they would call a banned book (not really ) but to them it is. So now they can jack up the price. If the Obama Nation can sit on the shelf with the idiot spending 1/2 the book showing references of him quoting himself ho hum.....

(182,717 posts)I don't catch hardly any talk radio now due to my new job and schedule. But it works like this - the day after that story it was all hands on deck drilling this home. Their listeners will never know that it was retracted and it will still be mentioned from time to time to keep it as a "fact". And yes playing victim FOR this guy will be the start of it... Without telling the audience why.

(405 posts)are the nuts claiming CBS was pressed by the administration to change the story, or that it is the FBI lying. They are still insisting that there is something there and we need to continue House investigations. Come on, these are the same idiots who still insist Obama was born in Kenya.

(37,157 posts)Threshold is basically a line to horn in on Regnery's market, catering to RWers. Glenn Beck and a bunch of other RW "personalities" publish through them, and Mary Matlin is some sort of roving editor. A one-stop rube-bilking and Wingnut Welfare shop.
How tough do you think it was for them to feed 60 Minutes free advertising...err... I mean an "inside scoop" on a hot topic sure to draw eyeballs?
