Paul Ryan discovers there's no free lunch

Last edited Fri Mar 7, 2014, 06:52 PM - Edit history (2)

Source: LA Times

Once outed, Ryan issued an apology of sorts via his Facebook page: "I have just learned that Secretary Anderson misspoke, and that the story she told was improperly sourced. I regret failing to verify the original source of the story, but I appreciate her taking the time to share her insights."

Shrub, Condi, Colin & Rummy "misspoke" when they said Iraq had WMD.

Issa misspeaks regularly. Like, every time he opens his mouth.

Plus I bet the amin costs, cost more than the actual food. The Federal gov. already subsidizes a lot of the food costs.

Is he saying it's better to have the children have empty souls and empty stomachs? Unless he went on to advocate expanding services for the poor to ensure they can afford brown bags and food from home, I'm not following. I'm sure some will say it was him advocating having loving families, which is fine, but love doesn't buy food.

that this isn't an argument that would get us much traction with his entrenched base, and energies could be spent better elsewhere. He's a scheming huckster I know, but in a few years we won't be talking about him anymore. Unless of course he somehow becomes president, then this board will be like it was back in '04. Good times.

He knows what he's doing. He's pandering to the willfully ignorant pathological liar vote. We've all seen their many chain emails, one after another, all filled with nothing but lies.

Now watch, he'll get a shitload more campaign contributions over this. All according to plan.

He's just doing what others have done. For example, Ted Cruz analogized moderate Senate Republicans with Nazi apologists and the willfully ignorant pathological liar crowd rewarded him with a mountain of cash.
