U.S. authorities arrest 14 in child porn website involving 251 children

(Reuters) - Authorities have arrested 14 men in a secret, members-only child pornography website that involved 251 children, mostly boys, in five countries, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.

Some of the men assumed female online personas to contact the children, who ranged in age from three to 17 years, on popular social networks, officials from the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement said.

Eleven of the men charged with running the website, which had more than 27,000 subscribers, were from Louisiana, the officials said at a news conference. All were in custody.

The 251 victims, who have been identified and contacted by authorities, were located in 39 U.S. states. The majority were between 13 and 15 and all, but a handful, were boys.

implied that this was, in part, why it was difficult for him, as an adult, to touch other males outside of a handshake. I presume because it induces stress and traumatic memories. I mean, the anger one must feel! Particularly as an adult after one figures out why one has certain mental or social dysfunctions.

About a month ago, there was a huge police and CSI presence at a house around the corner from me. They were cleaning the place out, and were there for over two days. The police were being VERY quiet about it, and there was nothing in the local newspaper about it. I figured that it was a meth lab or some other drug-related thing, since it's at the end of a dead-end street by the railroad tracks. My neighbor, who has an in-law who works at the police department, said that it was child pornography. It really freaked us out, because there's kids all around this neighborhood, including hers. I wonder if they caught this guy and were following a trail to other perverts?
