Sanders gets gold, Leahy silver for social media

Vermont Sens. Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy have won Gold Mouse Awards for their use of social media to stay in contact with their constituents.
Leahy also won a Silver Medal for his website. The awards were announced this past week by the nonpartisan Congressional Management Foundation.
Leahy was one of only four members of the House or Senate to win award both for social media efforts and for his website.
The Washington Post reports that Sanders had more than 288,000 people talking about him on Facebook in one recent week — more than anyone else in Congress.
