Suspect in Utash beating posts bond, will wear a tether

Source: Detroit Free Press

One of the men accused in the mob attack on Steven Utash made bond and has been released from jail.

Authorities placed a tether on Latrez Cummings, 19, and released him from a jail in downtown Detroit about 2 p.m. today, said Dennis Niemiec, spokesman for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

“He is on house arrest, which means he is confined to the house unless authorized,” he said.

Cummings, who bond was reduced from $500,000 late last month, posted 10% of his $25,000 bond and was required to have the tether before he could leave, officials said.

police officers have after pursuing a suspect in a high-speed chase - anger turns quickly into unbridled violence.

This was the fault of the slack father/mother who wasn't watching their kid to keep him from running out into the street, not the driver of the vehicle. They should have jumped on and beat up the parent...

Depriving people of their freedoms doesn't solve anything and its a waste of tax payer money.

Bravo, judge, bravo!

control issues and is a danger to other people. In that case, please keep the in a cage so they don't hurt people.
There are people out there that will kill you if you accidently step on their toe. Depriving them of their freedom in that case is the best option. Especially if they have commited an act of violence in the recent past.

he's being charged with viciously beating a man. If convicted he belongs in a cage until HE can prove he's no longer a threat to society.

A man - driving within the legal limits - hits a child that ran out into the road (by all accounts, the driver had no chance to stop) and stopped to render aid.

When he stopped a gang of angry and stupid people pummeled him into a coma....and you think it is a good decision to let them out???

Sometimes, I think I wander into crazy land due to some of the doe-eyed posts I see here....
