Kohler pulls Limbaugh ads
Source: Sheboygan Press/AP
Kohler Co. has stopped advertising on radio commentator Rush Limbaughs nationally syndicated talk show, the company confirmed Monday, because of comments made by Limbaugh earlier this month calling a Georgetown University law student a slut during an on-air attack of her after she testified about birth control policy during a congressional hearing.
We do not support the comments from Mr. Limbaugh and have pulled our advertising from his show, said Jennifer Taylor, director of global public affairs for Kohler Co., said in a statement released by the company.
Kohler made the same announcement earlier Monday on the companys official Twitter page.

Insert joke about toilet maker not being able to handle this sort of crap.
Keep the pressure up.

(21,925 posts)It appeared in Forbes or some other investor's magazine and described Limbaugh's new home and the important role that toilets occupied in that home. There were several bathrooms in his house much larger than the norm, with gold-plated fixtures for the toilet and sink. A main bathroom had plush carpeting, paintings on the wall, and antique furniture and was equipped with at least one telephone. It was mentioned that Limbaugh spent significant amounts of time in the bathroom and conducted business there, as though it were an office.
A few years later, I remember seeing a link at Limbaugh's website where he described with pride the lavish toilet he had had built at his radio station, complete with wood paneling and he provided photos.

(82,849 posts)This was supposed to have blown over by now. Quick, get the popular media to focus on some other story to the exclusion of everything else! Can we get some cute blonde to go missing somewhere? Geez, those gals are really sore at the vile human being this time. Who knew they had feelings?

(46,297 posts)And Herb Kohler is hardly leftist or liberal.
This shows just how badly Rush totally screwed up.

(12,296 posts)That's too creepy if WI has a Herb Kohl and a Herb Kohler.
I always knew the Kohlers were conservatives, but didn't know first names.

I was a cab driver back in the mid 80's.
Freddie lived in the apartment above Herb's garage.
(Freddie has died since then.)
But I liked both of them, they were both friendly and Herb tipped me well.
