In FL, Steady As She Goes: Scott 2 Atop Crist for Gov; For POTUS in 2016, FL Stays Blue if Clinton Runs; FL Turns Red if Biden Runs:

With July 4 in the rear-view mirror, Republican Rick Scott finds himself a nominal 2 points atop Democrat Charlie Crist in the contest for Florida Governor, according to the latest WFLA-TV tracking poll. Compared to an identical WFLA-TV poll released 06/24/14, Scott is up 3 points, Crist is up 2 points. Scott had led by a nominal 1 point, now 2, largely unchanged. Scott's 45% today is the highest he has polled in 7 WFLA-TV track points.

Looking ahead to the 2016 election for president in the pivotal state of Florida, hypothetical head-to-head polling by SurveyUSA for WFLA-TV shows the following:

* Hillary Clinton 46%.
* Rand Paul 42%.

* Rand Paul 47%.
* Joe Biden 39%.

* Hillary Clinton 53%.
* Marco Rubio 39%.

* Marco Rubio 46%.
* Joe Biden 43%.

* Hillary Clinton 47%.
* Jeb Bush 41%.

* Jeb Bush 47%.
* Joe Biden 38%.

As always, cell-phone respondents and home-phone respondents included in this survey: SurveyUSA interviewed 950 state of Florida adults 06/30/14 through 07/02/14. Of the adults, 849 were registered to vote. Of the registered, 558 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 11/04/14 general election. This research was conducted using blended sample, mixed mode. Respondents reachable on a home telephone (73% of likely voters) were interviewed on their home telephone in the recorded voice of a professional announcer. Respondents not reachable on a home telephone (27% of likely voters) were shown a questionnaire on their smartphone, tablet or other electronic device.

I will vote against him this time too, and against every other republican as well. I don't think anyone deserves this guy.

I mean he is also a thief who stole 840 Million from Medicare, and he admitted to doing it.

He of course spent not one SECOND in prison.

He is saying he will steal your medicare, he will starve you to death, and the very people he will kill are voting for him and this is why america is completely broken and must be fixed.

I thought Scott was dead in the waters of public opinion and a piriah. How can he possibly be two points ahead? Damn, this is depressing. I can't believe my fellow Floridians are this stupid.

Crist is a flawed candidate, but Rick Scott? You can't convince me that there is anyone more flawed than this guy. What has Crist done that is so horrible? Even if he did switch parties twice, I can't imagine Floridians being this dumb.

You praise the average Floridian with your kind remark about your not believing Floridians being that dumb.

The first time Scott ran, a women who was giving me Physical Therapy was agonizing over if she should vote for Scott. She told me she was only working in her advanced age because Scott screwed her and her husband over in the Medicare fraud scheme . She stated she was a Rep as was her husband. Hell, I even gave her print-outs from the internet as to how crooked this crooked man was. Still, she told me she couldn't bring herself to vote for a Dem. and felt rather smug when he won the election. People are strange.

Stuff like how Rick Scott increased funding and reversed the public education cuts Charlie Crist previously signed into law. "Help protect public education by denying Charlie Crist the opportunity to make cuts again", that sort of stuff.

I know Crist's an ex Republican, but he's gone democrat with full guns blazing. Unlike some other R "refugees' turned D for
convenience(changing demographics plus growing RWNJ dominance) not commitment.

Crist has made some wonderfully vivid statements about the Repugs & Scott...like announcing how many people/ day Scott was murdering by denying Fla voters the ACA medicaid coverage they already paid for. Lately Crist's surprisingly outspoken
about normalizing America Cuba relations. And even as a Repug governor, Crist seemed to understand that Big Oil was serious enemy to Fla...unlike the other oil/Koch brainwashed Gulf governors.

I just just cannot imagine that Fla could reelect Scott...now that they've had 6 years to learn his past medicare swindle & see first hand Scott's self enriching agenda ( eg. required urine tests for drug users sent to his wife's lab)

So yeah, sending $20 to Crist is worth it to me; at least I'll feel I did what I could to help a good guy defeat a creep & a crook.
