TREMONTON, Utah - Authorities have arrested a 47-year-old Utah man they say wanted to kill police officers and blow up a police department with the hope it would cause an uprising against the government.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Utah said in a statement late Friday that FBI agents and police in Tremonton arrested John Huggins on Thursday.

FBI Special Agent Steven Cadiz says in court documents that Huggins built an improvised explosive device and possessed explosive materials and instructions for making bombs.

U.S. Attorney's Office spokeswoman Melodie Rydalch says Huggins appeared on a charge of possessing an unregistered destructive device Friday afternoon and will remain in custody until a hearing Tuesday.

to each other if you want some kind of desired effect.
Your actions are rather like painting your house so the "Readers Digest Prize Van" will show up.
You really need to think these things through....

In the 1960s when people protested against the US government, set off bombs, etc, they were called anti-American. Today they call themselves patriots for doing the exact same things.

Utah man planned to blow up police station in hopes of triggering revolution, police say

Authorities arrested a Utah man accused of trying to blow up a police station in hopes of starting a revolution.
John Huggins, of Weber County, was arrested Friday and charged in federal court with possession of an unregistered destructive device.

Police said the 44-year-old Huggins, who has a history of creating explosive devices, planned to sell a homemade bomb to an undercover officer involved in a four-month investigation into his activities.

Officers were tipped off in February that Huggins had buried some bombs in Ogden and planned to blow up a Bible group.
They eventually learned Huggins planned to target the Tremonton Police Department and bridges and other infrastructure to hinder any pursuit, authorities said.

“Huggins stated that he thought that this action would cause the community to rise up against the government,” federal authorities said.

"In February, a "concerned citizen" contacted Tremonton police to report Huggins threatened to blow up a Bible study group and had buried bombs around the city of Ogden, Cadiz said."

Ever notice how it is always an acquaintance or family member who actually catches these people, yet we spend countless billions to give the NSA high tech toys with which to spy on us.

And they have nothing to show for it.
