Pueblo clerk stops issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples

Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert Ortiz on Monday stopped issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
The Pueblo Office stopped issuing the licenses at 1 p.m., according to Ortiz.
"I believe that AG Suthers is on the wrong side of history and my office is reluctantly ceasing to issue licenses as of this afternoon," Ortiz said in a statement on Twitter.
Ortiz quit issuing the licenses at Colorado Attorney General John Suthers' request, according to a statement from the AG's office.
