'Dangerous Situation' Reported At Florida State University

Florida State University officials issued an emergency alert on Wednesday night about a "dangerous situation" unfolding on campus.
On the FSU website, students and staff were urged to "seek shelter immediately, away from doors and windows."
HuffPost reached out to the Florida State University Police Department for more information, and was told that a statement would be issued soon. However, police reportedly told the Los Angeles Times that there was a gunman on the Tallahassee campus and the situation was unfolding.

The patients' conditions are not known, and it's unclear whether those injured are students.

FSU student Toni Haywood was on the second floor of the Strozier Library around 12:30 a.m. when she heard gunshots, ABC News reported. Minutes later, the police announced via intercom that there was a gunman in the library, Haywood told the network via text.
Mary Coburn, vice president of student affairs, told the student newspaper FSU News that campus police had shot and killed the gunman. Tallahassee police officers confirmed the gunman's death as well, AP reported.
According to Ian Clark, a nursing supervisor at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care, two gunshot victims were being treated at the hospital. Details about the victims, including their current conditions, have not been released.
A third person was also wounded, Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway told the AP, but no other information about that victim was released.
