Sharyl Attkisson sues Justice Dept.

Source: Politico

Former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has sued the U.S. Department of Justice for illegal surveillance, alleging that the Obama administration hacked her computers while she was reporting on the Benghazi attacks, Fast and Furious and Obamacare.

"There is an administrative claim for illegal wiretapping and a lawsuit alleging constitutional violations," Attkisson told POLITICO on Monday, confirming a Fox News report about the lawsuit. She is seeking $35 million in damages.

Attkisson has cited three computer forensic exams as evidence that hackers stole data and passwords from her home and work computers. She also told Fox that she has "pretty good evidence" that the hacks were "connected" to the Justice Department.

Attkisson left CBS News in March after more than two decades with the network, citing frustrations with what she saw as the network’s liberal bias, an outsize influence by the network’s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting. Sources at the network said Attkisson’s coverage of the Obama administration had become agenda-driven and led network executives to doubt the impartiality of her reporting.

and so she sues the Justice Department? It's too bad there is not an 'IGPulitzer prize' for reporting as this Benghazi, benghazi benghazi benghazi benghazi benghazi poisonous right-wing would win it. She was fired from CBS news for pushing an obvious wingnut agenda. So with scorn for liberals, her Apple laptop has a sticky backspace key and now she files lawsuit??? What an ass. Wouldn't it be fun to know who is funding this suit to expose the depths of depravity that the republic party will dive. Remember ACORN?

She has no credibility any longer, and is obviously just attention whoring to the right-wing.

I dismiss her with the same contempt I dismiss Orly Taitz.

The point is Attkinsson is bringing up this "The government is spying on me since I write articles critical of Obama."

And it's pure bullshit.

Attkinsson is in disgrace because she LIED.

She lied about vaccines, Benghazi and Obama.

That's why she runs to Faux "news."

Attkisson shot this video on or sometime after September 16, 2013. The episode of "Dancing with the Stars" that is playing in the background features Valerie Harper dancing a Foxtrot to "Some Kind of Wonderful" and first aired live on the evening of that date.

According to Attkisson's own timeline her computer was 'hacked' in October 2012, she came forward with this allegation in May 2013, but then waited until September 2013 to take video 'evidence.'

Has Ms. Attkisson provided an explanation of when this video was taken or why she waited for a year, and until after she went forward with public allegations, to take video documentation of her computer being 'hacked'? Is this the standard of investigative journalism that she was doing while at CBS? If that's the case it may explain why she no longer works there.

Right. But this episode of "Dancing with the Stars" aired live on September 16, 2013. If she recorded the episode she couldn't have watched it before September 16, 2013. That's why I wrote that Attkisson shot this video on or sometime after September 16, 2013. There is no possible way for this video to have been made before September 16, 2013, again the date when this particular episode of "Dancing with the Stars" aired live.

Attkisson says her computer was hacked in October 2012. She made this allegation in May 2013. CBS investigate in June 2013. Attkisson made this video sometime after September 16, 2013, at least three months after CBS investigated and almost a year after Attkisson alleges her computer was first hacked.

She isn't going to be able to get away with making sensational claims based on sources she won't reveal. She also won't be able to refuse to answer inconsistencies by just smearing media matters instead. She'll be on the spot for all her lies. I hope the fireworks get reported, but I don't expect it.
