Tony Blair 'could face war crimes charges' over Iraq War

Source: The Telegraph (UK)

Tony Blair could face war crimes charges as a result of the Iraq war inquiry report, the House of Lords has been told.

Lord Dykes of Harrow Weald, a Liberal Democrat peer, claimed that the publication of the inquiry by Sir John Chilcot was being delayed “to prolong the agony” of the former Labour Prime Minister.

Lord Hurd – who as Douglas Hurd was Conservative foreign secretary from 1989 to 1995 – said the delay was now "becoming a scandal".

Lord Wallace of Saltaire, a Government minister, disclosed for the first time that talks over the publication of the gist of conversations between Mr Blair and George W Bush, the former US president, were now completed.

That thought had never crossed my mind.

Thanks for the little addition to my patchwork quilt of paranoid speculations. I'll work it in.

about how W got elected the first time. I could not believe it. Still don't. (Well, I do, but there is assorted pain and anguish related to that memory).

torture anymore. But if we are doing it with his acquiescence then he deserves to be put on trial along with Bush, Cheney, Rummy and the gang.

ran the only CIA that apparently did its job, before that shitheel Cheney decided to politicize it. As the CIA chief under him, there was no torture, no assassinations (that we know of), and no 9/11 gifts from commercial passengers.

I did like his tax increases, too, since it was a shot in the arm for the economy.

Comparing the three, daddums was the least objectionable one. Jeb, I think, is the snakiest, and W's adult onset alcohol syndrome says everything that needs to be said about the Lesser.

Key word "could". No way in hell the .1% would allow that. Especially a Britain ruled by Cons at the moment, despite the temptation to humble a former leader of the opposition party. They have the same backers as BushCo. AND his poodle.
