Second man to be sentenced in Rehtaeh Parsons child porn case

HALIFAX—A second young man who pleaded guilty in the Rehtaeh Parsons child pornography case is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in a Halifax court.
The 19-year-old man pleaded guilty in November to distributing a sexually graphic image of Parsons, who was 15 years old at the time of the incident.

A 20-year-old man also charged in the case was given a conditional discharge in November after he pleaded guilty to making child pornography by taking a photo of the accused having sex with the girl.

The 17-year-old Parsons was taken off life-support in April 2013 after a suicide attempt her parents say was the result of relentless cyberbullying.
