The man was fast losing his case and I believe he knew it. His next remark was, “Do you have black cops on the police department?” Chief Smokowicz replied that yes, there were, but what had that to do with anything? The man then replied, “Well, my bike has a Confederate flag on it and I may have been targeted.”
Chief Smokowicz replied in words to the effect of, “That is the most insulting thing I have heard in quite a while.” That pretty much ended the discussion ...
