Dan Rather Ends Retirement, Announces Historic Project to Topple Trump

"Respected news icon Dan Rather launched a Facebook page to counter the lies and “alternative facts” from Donald Trump. As with so many of us, he had enough of the garbage from Trump and the news media.

The Facebook page, “News and Guts,” will report honest, hard-hitting news. The media needs to follow Rather’s lead and begin telling the truth and not repeating the lies from the Trump Administration.

In just a few weeks, the page has over 350 thousand followers. These are people who can no longer take the reporting of lies and “alternate facts” as news.

Rather wants the page to be “a little more free-wheeling” than his personal page. It encourages a two-way street of thoughts and articles that followers want to see covered.

Together, on this Facebook page, we have built a community that I know values real news. But there is only so much I can share and on which I can comment. Take a week like this week, where the news of the confirmation hearings is coming fast and furious. There are far more articles that deserve your attention and great reporters who I would love to spotlight.

The right will ignore it all, and then we will have another Air AMERICA, which was boring and was preaching to the choir. But this time led by a disgraced former newsman.

People need to be taught how to discern the differences between verifiable and bogus information.

"To the right" -- well, just quote Fox, Rush, Sean Hannity, etc etc etc -why even try, if you're going to stick to what anything is "to the right." Recently someone was telling me why Trump won. "They [Trump voters] thought..." I was told. Every time I said "But that wasn't true!" the reply was "But they thought..." -- and what was it they "thought"? Exactly what they were told by Fox, Rush, Sean Hannity, etc etc etc. - not to mention their churches.

I think that's a huge part of the problem.

Just like Trump supporters now, church-goers in general are taught to pride themselves on believing the guy in the pulpit no matter what facts the rest of the world discovers.

Church is where they are conditioned for this sort of denial in the first place and church is where it is practiced the most.

But some churches used to tell their members to love their neighbors. Not much of that anymore.

When Reagan's team incorporated the religion into their plan, that's when the current nightmare really began.

And the story about Bush* was true and factual... The documentation provided was tampered with to cast doubts about their authenticity think: "rove*".
