Our Dishonest President (LA Times editorial)

It was no secret during the campaign that Donald Trump was a narcissist and a demagogue who used fear and dishonesty to appeal to the worst in American voters. The Times called him unprepared and unsuited for the job he was seeking, and said his election would be a “catastrophe.”

Still, nothing prepared us for the magnitude of this train wreck. Like millions of other Americans, we clung to a slim hope that the new president would turn out to be all noise and bluster, or that the people around him in the White House would act as a check on his worst instincts, or that he would be sobered and transformed by the awesome responsibilities of office.

No way.

We do realize the russians have planted deep cover agents here and still do, right?

Thousands of men and women who have lived here their entire lives. Some born here. In highly placed political positions and media.

Election boards. Then they finally get their bought and paid for candidate who is in their back pocket and blackmailed to the hilt, and they leave it up to the voters?

Nonsense, votes changed all over the place or not counted, etc.

On many different levels too.

That's why we have to run Presidential candidates that can beat them by at least 10% or more. Like we did with Obama.

That's their fucking mistake. There were tens of millions who KNEW that he is what he is and there would be no "pivot".

The fact that after 40+ years of a very consistent history of bigotry, misogyny, narcissism, and inability to control his impulses - no matter what venture he was involved in (real estate, entertainment, sports), for the "media" to somehow believe that he was going to somehow magically "change", is why the country is now in the dire state that it is in today. They continued to allow him to spew lies and fabricated scenarios 24/7 without fact checks, and then proceeded to create a false equivalency by insisting on continually fabricating similar behavior and attributing it to his opponent HRC in order to provide some sort of bizarre "balance.

on you media.

Also, I hope more decent people comment. Right now comments are mostly RW trolls.
