Stand up to Trumps indecency and dishonesty
I am constantly surprised by the vulgarity of Donald Trump. By vulgar I mean not only Trump's rude behavior and tasteless language but also his pompous statements and bloated self-regard.
How much vulgarity can a nation take from its president before being irreparably harmed? The lack of grace and decency in Trump's character is infecting the character of our nation and agitating the pathologies of anger, hate, and resentment in certain segments of our population.
Not only moral decency, but the truth are victims of Trump's habit of mistaking his distorted worldview as reality; where he ignores evidence in favor of his impulses; where he attacks legitimate news as fake and promotes fake news as legitimate; where he takes credit for nonexistent achievements and blames others for his own failures. He is quickly destabilizing the safeguards that protect us against the abuses of power. With each passing day, he is dismantling the credibility of the presidency and destroying our country's moral stature in the world.

(6,067 posts)...Trump wasn't overwhelmingly rejected early in the political process. The prospect that someone like Trump COULD assume the leadership of a superpower was damning.
The fact that he DID and that his behavior is even worse than anticipated just sends us to a lower circle of Hell.

(2,166 posts)Back then it was all "Family first", framing the Dems as not family oriented, and (using Bill Clinton's infidelity) to say that we don't value marriage. Now they have a twice divorced, self admitted adulterer, who carried his vulgar, bullying ways into the White House. We are now the laughing stock of the world.

(8,203 posts)good friends finally apologized last night for their vote of this POS..I really like this couple..they are totally embarrassed...the kind of people you want to associate with...we have few of those in our 55+ community..we agreed early on to not talk politics....
I refuse to mingle at the club house..but hubby, who has already laid many of them out (figuratively of course) they know not to bring up the subject....unless they want hubby in their face..they just STFU...but there are some who love to get under his skin..they only have headlines, hubby has substance...I just stay away...he brings the stories home of his conquests...LOL
