Trump's frantic new effort to win back seniors is already failing

Here’s President Trump’s new reelection strategy, in a nutshell: Convince vulnerable seniors who rightly fear getting killed by the pandemic that Trump let rampage out of control that they should instead fear getting killed by criminals who would supposedly rampage out of control in a future post-police dystopia that is entirely invented.

Trump just announced a plan to dispatch more federal law enforcement into Democratic cities without the assent of local officials — while offering numerous lurid exaggerations about urban crime and the supposed “radical movement” to “dissolve” police departments.

Meanwhile, at Wednesday’s coronavirus task force briefing, he blamed the current explosion in cases on Mexico and those protesing police brutality, while continuing to urge a rapid reopening of schools and businesses, even though rapid reopenings are plainly a key cause of the ongoing surge.

What’s the connecting thread between these two? One is elderly people.

You can see this in Trump’s campaign ads. He is running a new spot that depicts an elderly woman calling the police in terror as a marauder circles her house like a vulture, only to find that in “Joe Biden’s America,” the police are no longer there.

Trump will go full-on Nazi as election day approaches and his re-election chances disappear. Prepare for the worst.

1. Using Federal SS is not winning seniors over, creating

Issues will not either. Seniors are looking at an indifferent president to their well being and well being of their grandkids. This will only worsen, not improve trumps standing.

Given his attempts to cut payroll taxes which fund Social Security and Medicare any senior who votes for him is crazy.

3. That ad with the senior woman is so freaking bad.

I laughed at it and can't imagine who'd actually believe that silly stupid shit. OK, I can imagine who, it's the drumpfhumpers. They will believe anything he says, until it directly affects them or their family, then they hate him. However, it's the real threat of CV19 right now, or the imaginary idiotic threat drumpf ads envision and reality will trump his lies and lots of senior women have turned and will continue to turn against him.

4. His tactics are doing the opposite

And the polls will keep dropping even more now, except ones he's got rigged.

The virus will spike, bigly, instantly, and I expect every family in the country will be negatively impacted to some degree.

His standing will crater. And will never recover. But, sadly it will do so at the cost of thousands, maybe millions, of lives.
