IS QANON THE FUTURE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY?
( With the GOP headed by a narcissist con man and Mitch McConnell his happy accomplice, then yes.)

QANON IS A far-ranging conspiracy theory that alleges, among other things, that a patriotic Trump supporter (or supporters) embedded in the highest levels of the U.S. government has been using internet forums to send coded messages to the American public about a secret plan to arrest and/or execute a global cabal of child-torturing, blood-drinking, satan-worshipping pedophiles. Despite its self-evident implausibility, the mantle of QAnon has been taken up by a huge number of mostly right-wing Americans, including a shocking number of Republican politicians. Guest host Ryan Grim talks to Aída Chávez and the Daily Beasts Will Sommer about the future of Q.

The Republican Party must be removed from power if America is to survive as a free nation. The RW propaganda has to be counter and all the lies exposed. Sadly our MSM doesn't seem up to the task

Twitter has banished it as much as they can. Farcebook needs to step up and do the same. Shoving it back onto 8chan is likely the best we can do, slowing it down but not able to stop it completely.
None of this bullshit is new, I heard it all on short wave radio decades ago. What is new is being able to use social media platforms as a megaphone, lending it legitimacy it should never have.
Whether or not it's the future of the GOP, it's certainly a large part of their present. The only question is how long it's going to take the GOP's plutocratic mob bosses to notice it's destroying them from the inside out.

(8,361 posts)how Trump came to power. There is no sense that I have read that tells me they are prepared to dial back their God and Guns, their adherence to low taxes, meaning corporate greed. They have a responsibility to fix their party. These dangerous people should have been purged, like McConnell not just Trump. But I don't hear that from pundits who identify as Republicans against Trump. They helped create the opportunity for more extreme views when Reagan began with the Moral Majority. How anyone can call themselves religious and associate with Trump & McConnell is nonsensical.

(487 posts)Think about how a Republican is to ever have credibility again. In my Family its all Democrats and one very financially conservative Republican. She has been at all the marches with us and hates Trump vehemently. She was super happy when Weld was going to run but you know how that went. The Republican brand is permanently soiled.
