BIG “M*A*S*H” fan here. Husband and I still binge on the reruns.

Always admired his work and his activism. Delighted to see him speaking up now. I’ve been wondering when he’d start speaking up again. We need him back up on the front lines where he belongs!

Btw - his wife, Arlene, wrote some really charming children’s books that I read to my kids at night before bedtime.

It reads like one of Hawkeye's poetic rants with beautiful scripted turns of phrases, analogies and similes.

that is part of my anti-insomnia scheme: when I awaken in the middle of the night unable to sleep, I pop in an ear bud- one ear bud only- and listen to a podcast!

Works every time! Only problem is, I end up missing much of the cast!!

It's called Kiss The Ground, and it's about how a huge amount of climate change can be ameliorated by merely conditioning the soil of the Earth, and making sure that as little ground as possible lies fallow. Growing literally ANYTHING will help.

A scientist who has devoted his entire career to this premise said that, were a large part of this initiative were to be achieved, the human-caused carbon dioxide component of the atmosphere could be negated, sequestered in FERTILE soil. Not the dust bowl-like wasteland that is so often left to fend for itself.

This was one of the big takeaways from the Paris Accord, but I'm guessing Monsanto, Dow, and others weren't fond of the idea of the world, especially the United States, using less of their poisons.

You really should watch it. I bet Alan Alda has, or will very shortly.

I never get tired of watching MASH reruns on MeTV. No matter how many times I watch an episode, they always seem relevant. That show depicted the reality of war, not glorifying it.

I used to always watch his science show on PBS (I think it was PBS) when that was on. I definitely remember his activism on behalf of the ERA also. He's a truly nice person and I'm so glad he's spoken out now.
