'A Brief Note About John Kasich (R-OH) From An Ohioan'

- I hope Kasich is never mentioned on the site again.

- 'A Brief Note About John Kasich From An Ohioan,'- Daily Kos, Nov. 8, 2020.

Kasich used to be my governor. I wasn’t old enough to vote when he was elected, but if I had been I would have voted against him anyway. Cable news pundits love kasich, but nobody in Ohio does. Workers in OH hate him for being anti-union. Women in OH hate him for his unforgivable views on abortion. I personally hold him accountable for the abysmal state of education infrastructure in OH.

Kasich should not have spoken at the DNC, and my fellow Ohioans on this site said so (much love to ya’ll from the greater Cleveland area). Kasich couldn’t stop trump from getting the R nomination in 2016, and he didn’t get OH to swing to Biden in 2020. No democrat should listen to him when it comes to political strategy:

(> *Listen to Kasich go on about 'the far left')

AOC offers more usable advice to dems in a few tweets than Kasich does in dozens upon dozens of TV interviews. From what I can see, Biden doesn’t plan to waste a spot in his transition team on kasich...

The only good thing that Kaisch did was Medicaid expansion over the objection of the GOP representatives. He had to maneuver to get it done, not sure what his motive was, but he did get it done.

It was a mistake to have Kasich speak at the convention. Time was very limited (1 min. to AOC) for example and that time should have went to a Democrat. Instead, Kasich was welcomed and feted as a member of the club, when his record clearly indicates that he is anything but.

That’s past now, but I hope it is a lesson learned for President-Elect Joe Biden. Don't make the mistake that President Obama did about elected Republicans. They are NOT interested in helping you succeed. They are NOT interested in the issues and policies that will help the 99 percent. Instead, if you feel the need to reach out, craft legislation with congress that will benefit all Americans...

Using him for the DNC convention was brilliant. Now it’s time to shut the door on him. He was in a place that his party wasn’t his party no mo. Take advantage of that and try to move some moderate GOP voters. Good strategy. But now that the game is over? Oh, fuck that guy.

And I don’t think he’s a “member of the club.” We used him to our advantage. Ain’t no shame if they are consensual. But now that it’s over? Yeah man, fuck that guy and the Hummer he rode in...

3. People like him destroyed the Democratic Party

In Ohio. Started back with Reagan when they all bought his shit. I was born and raised in Ohio and my Dad was a proud Union Member all his life. Because of the union we had a decent life, a house and a car. And then the fucking Republicans came and the people bought their Kool Aide and that state has been a shithole for progressive causes ever since.

People like Kasich are two faced bastards, hanging around the edges, promoting himself on CNN. He is a fucking snake in the grass and like all republicans must be made to disappear forever, their putrid philosophy destroyed forever.

Screw him and CNN for even having this snake on tv.

there were plenty of avid Democrats, union workers, progressive colleges and active students. It's so changed, almost unrecognizable.

In the twitter video above, JK repeats himself worked up about 'the far left'-- typical of a former Lehman investment banker- 'those were my best years!'

But he has no comments or insights about real threats and actions from the far right, Proud Boys, Qanon, alt right..sad..or the rise of authoritarian fascism.

6. Kasich has managed to accomplish the feat

of being loathed by both Republicans and Democrats. Putting him in a Biden cabinet won’t accomplish anything. Find someone else, Joe.

When I was younger, Ohio was rock solid Dem, Union, working class tough. It greatly pains me to see how the dishonest and ignorant Republicans have overtaken our state.

it's good enough to make me like Don Lemon less.

The low point of CNN's day is frequently the five minutes Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon spend talking about going boating together.

who have continually been elected by the People.

He has no chance in national politics anymore because he supported BIden. He has no power other than what he says and most people don't listen to him .
