Senate majority leader announces approximately $900 billion deal on emergency relief package

[SNIP]

Schumer then took to the floor, while calling the aid package insufficient, also heralded it as a critical measure to “give the new president a boost, a head start, as he prepared to right our ailing economy.”

Looks like no retroactive federal boost in payments as was promised a couple of months ago, even by ditch. 11 weeks as opposed to 16. Won't take effect until the 27th IF they get it passed in the next day? Will people that get dropped this week qualify? Sounds to me like only folks that are still within their original 26 weeks are going to get assistance unless they have some kind of provision in there to cover those in their last week. We are continuing to shed more jobs than we are creating. I have a feeling those that have been hanging on through this pandemic are gonna fall through the cracks and get fucked.

Christmas (and other holidays like it) will still be freakin' DESTROYED for MILLIONS OF AMERICANS!!!!!

The only good thing is that it won't be AS STRESSFUL, but THAT's IT!

(Sorry for ALL the caps)

Ok, I waited this long, and I know he's only doing it for himself, but I'm NOT hatin' the idea.

Unfortunately, it probably won't happen, and the delay will just cost more people to suffer, especially during the holidays.
