McConnell, Schumer close in on power-sharing agreement in evenly divided Senate.

Stacey Abrams, LaTosha Brown and Dem voters shouldn't have even bothered to win those two run-off seats in Georgia IF, IF, IF this story is true. God, Schumer if this story is true IS Schumer going to be out-smarted by the self-proclaimed Grim-Reaper AGAIN?

IF true

Washington (CNN)The top two Senate leaders are nearing a power-sharing agreement to hash out how the evenly divided chamber will operate, with Democrats in charge of setting the schedule but both parties likely to hold an equal number of seats on Senate committees, according to sources familiar with the talks.

The negotiations between Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell have been built largely around how the Senate operated the last time the body was split 50-50: When George W. Bush initially became president in 2001. Final details are still being sorted out between the two leaders, sources said.

Similar to those rules, set in January 2001, Schumer and McConnell aides are discussing allowing bills and nominations to advance to the Senate floor even if they are tied during committee votes, something that could become common given that each party is expected to have the same number of seats on committees.
Democrats will hold the chairmanships of the committees, giving them power to set the agenda, and Schumer will be granted the title of majority leader since Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will cast tiebreaking votes on the floor.
The full chamber still has to ratify these procedures, but that is expected to occur once Schumer and McConnell have finalized their agreement.

Democrats are still waiting for the seating of the two new Georgia Democrats -- Sens.-elect Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff -- who won their runoff races this month. Georgia election officials had expected the certification process to be completed by Tuesday, and if it is, it's possible the two senators could take their oaths and be sworn in that day, according to Democratic sources.
Harris resigned her Senate seat on Monday, and will soon be replaced by Democrat Alex Padilla. It's still uncertain when Padilla will be sworn into office.
Once Harris gets sworn in as vice president and the final three Democrats take their Senate seats, their caucus will be in charge of a 50-50 Senate with Harris breaking ties.

Just guessing.

Kamala has tie-breaking vote!

As such, guessing Dems chair all committees.

it's that rules, norms, decency and standards that have been set in the past, DON'T FUCKING APPLY anymore.

After January 6, there is only one thing that must be done. The Retrumplicans Party must be demolished, destroyed, burnt to ash, buried a mile deep under 50 feet of reinforced concrete, and the ground above salted.

We don't negotiate with terrorist.

If they even want to even consider such a plan, the Retrumplicans can make a good faith gesture by expelling Cruz and Hawley for starters.

Then we can talk.

Fuck that bastard/traitor. The day he dies I will celebrate like never before. He is the single most anti-American traitor that has ever been the Majority. He is worse than Putin. He values the US as much as Putin does. He is a TRAITOR to the US. Send him to jail!!! Enablers must be held accountable and he is the number 1 enabler/traitor.

The GOP never works "with Dems". Never ever! Why should we? Obama reached across the isle and every time his hand was bitten. Never forgive or forget what Mitch has done to our country. This is his doing. "An eye for an eye" is the way Chuck should lead the Senate. Treat Fucking Turtle the same way he has treated the Dems and the US. Show no mercy...treat them as they have treated us. Mitch will NEVER work with Dems. Chuck is a fool if he thinks otherwise.
