Video of fatal Chicago police shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo released
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/video-fatal-chicago-police-shooting-13-year-old-adam-toledo-n1264172A Chicago police oversight board released body-camera video Thursday of an officer fatally shooting a 13-year-old boy, images that Mayor Lori Lightfoot called "excruciating."
The officer can be seen running down an alley, chasing Adam Toledo last month and ordering him to stop, according to footage made public by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability.
"Freeze stop! Stop right f---ing now! Hey show me your f---ing hands! Drop it, drop it," the officer seems to say in the video before firing a shot.

(2,803 posts)I watched the entire video. What did you see that was realistic?

(50,774 posts)What I see is that child putting both hands up in surrender.
If a cop can't distinguish that from reaching for a gun, and if their reaction to a child putting up both hands in surrender is to murder that child, they don't belong in the job.
Spare me this moronic crap. Stop trying to justify the murder of children.

(74 posts)It was not a phone or a candy bar found next to him. It was a gun that had been discharged. Just some facts sadly. That child should not have been out at 3AM with that adult criminal.

(50,774 posts)And I guess when you were young and you were out late, if you had been murdered it would be your own fault, right? Because that's what you are saying here.

(74 posts)I was young and I had to be home in bed at night. My parents would have tanned my hide. I am glad people can have opinions here. Have a great day my new friend. 👍

I'm not your friend.
