The Montana GOP changed its platform recently and removed an important passage, hoping Montanans wouldnt notice: We support the individual rights of Montana tribal citizens as guaranteed by the Montana constitution.
Within weeks of the removal of this passage, and issuing the new authoritarian approved State Platform, leaders within the MT GOP started saying the quiet part out loud.
At a North Central Pachyderm meeting, Ed Butcher, the developer of the legistats loyalty scorecard that is now mandated by the MTGOP in its new platform, publicly expressed his disdain for Native Montanans who happen to be American Indian.
According to the Havre Daily News, Butcher remarked American Indian legislators always vote for welfare, and said while there were two he respected very much, most legislators from reservations are unintelligent.

Person A: "But no true Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge."
I haven't applied it in a fallacious way. I'm not trying to rescue something since it hasn't been refuted.
However, one could write the standard form of the final statement, let it have the look, and still be true.
No true christian would beat a Capitol Police officer with a US flag pole.
No true christian would say "most legislators from reservations are unintelligent".

(6,017 posts)Each sect / denomination / church determines its own set of values, rules and so on.
And each one is so convinced theirs is the correct interpretation they proclaim it to be the One True Christianity. You (generic) can say they are not Christians but they will say the same about you - and both are equally correct and equally incorrect. It's very much similar to people having different opinions.
By declaring Republicans "not true Christians" it gives them cover to be as awful as they want - other Christians simply write them off as false. It would be far more useful and honest to admit they too are Christians, but the are evil Christians.

(86,332 posts)We keep telling y'all, who are so fond of telling us how we have too many Senators and all, that we should not be ignored at election time as is always the case. This is the petri dish of the reprobates. They are able to gain footing here then spread out like a horrible disease.
If we could get some support before the elections, we might have a chance at flipping the government blue or at least bluer. Instead of complaining about us, maybe assist for the cause.

What does he think Native Americans mean?!
Native means living in and on the land for thousands of years before illegal immigrants ( white guys) showed up with virus laden blankets.
Americans mean legal citizens who can vote and hold elected office.
Is this another unspoken reason that the R's want to write a new Montana Constitution??
P.S. The top 4 R's in Montana Government are all from other states. No disrespect on the states, just the R's.
