Who was Nashville shooter Audrey Hale?

The shooter who attacked students and teachers at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday was identified by police as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who law enforcement said may have once attended the school.

A website that appears to be associated with Hale indicates that Hale was a Nashville-based graphic designer and illustrator who created logos and branding to "help tell a company's story" and "bring a whimsical and light-hearted feel."

A police spokesperson told ABC News that Hale was assigned female at birth, and pointed to a social media account linked to Hale that included use of the pronouns he/him.

A neighbor of the family told ABC News that Audrey Hale lived at the family's home with Hale's parents, who the neighbor described as "very nice" and "very religious."

It's my guess she was also sexually assaulted at the School/Church.

At the time, "she" would have been, from what I've seen, 9-11 years old.

Yes, possible. But not just real likely.

Two locations were surveilled and this one was chosen because it had less security.

6. It wouldn't surprise me if Audrey Hale was harassed and bullied at home, too.

This article quoted Hale's mother as saying, "I think I lost my daughter today." That together with the parents being described as"very religious" says volumes to me.

Apparently Hale's parents are very rich - they are living in a $750k house - and so religious Hale wasn't allowed to wear anything but women's clothing at home. Apparently he had to go to work and change into men's clothes, then change back before going home.

...IIRC, it's pretty rare for the authorities to release a motive in these shootings. They come so fast nowadays, even if they discover a motive, it's buried and forgotten by the next mass shooting.
