For Political Closure, We Need Disclosure.

No thinking person can deny that the current situation is unacceptable and intolerable. We urge all senators to engage in a bipartisan effort to enact this critically needed legislation. The Disclose Act of 2012 is a prudent and important first step in restoring some sanity to our democratic process.

We've been talking about disclosure of campaign finance since I was a kid back in the 60s, or at least since I remember reading the newspapers.

It's amazing how, after 3-4 decades, we're still talking about the same things. Yeah, lets disclose the fact that corporate spending keeps increasing each election, and lets make sure we can track who pays off who, but do nothing to stop the increasing influence of money in elections. KaChing.
