More than 100 members of Congress are upset that nonstop flights out of a Washington, D.C., airport to their hometowns could be a thing of the past, which they say isn’t fair to THEM.

Must not keep that lobbyist waiting you know.

During the brouhaha over changing the name of Washington National Airport to Reagan National to honor St. Ronnie RayGun, in the hearings a Repubican got up in favor saying, "I just think our nation's capitol should have its airport named after a president."

A Democrat immediately replied, "It already IS, you twit!"

I suspect there will be a reduction in frequency from Nashville though not necessarily a reduction in capacity i.e. a substitution of some regional jet service with full-size aircraft that carry up to 3x more passengers. That would mollify competing carriers seeking more slots at National and please the regulators too.
