Speed of Bradley Manning Trial Masks Prosecutors’ Struggles

Bradley Mannings court-martial was already in weekend recess as of midday Tuesday, marking the third consecutive week the court has finished far ahead of schedule. Since the court-martial began, the courts week has never gone later than Wednesday afternoon.
One ongoing reason for the unexpected speed of the trial has been the defenses agreement to stipulate written testimony for a number of prosecution witnesses, eliminating the need for live, in-person testimony.
However, this is not an indication things are going well for the prosecution; they have had continued difficulty establishing that Manning was following directions from WikiLeaks, which could be key in establishing the charge of aiding the enemy ...

I caught that to.
I wasn't aware that Wikileaks had been declared the enemy either.
Have they also been declared terrorists ?
Have all the papers that printed the Wikileaks cables been declared enemies as well ?
The U.S. justice system can bend and twist with the best of them.
It sickens me what is happening in this country.
The justice system and all branches of government are completely corrupt.
I am beginning to wonder if they have blood running in their veins, or some sort of slime.

(90,061 posts)have declined a lot. Like various other things. Apparently you can be isolated in a foreign embassy, and dismissed as a narcissistic nut, and yet still be a threat to all we hold dear.
And now there are two of them, and getting the same press treatment, but a little more frantic with the new guy.
