A really 'Good Read', I suggest reading through its entirety if you have a few spare minutes.
He discusses why people are resistant to persuasion even when, or especially when, presented with facts supporting an idea that goes against our preexisting views. He also discusses how we can use this knowledge to present information in such a way as to avoid such negative reactions to our arguments.
I did a search and saw that this article had been posted a number of years ago, but nothing recent, so figured some people may appreciate the chance to check it out if they missed it back then.
