Middle class is moving forward, not backward (An Education Connect-the-Dots Opportunity)

From Today's Washington Post: Bill Knapp considers jobs, inequality, education and poverty; determines that things are not all that bad and finds cause for hope. He points out that economic disparity is most strongly connected to educational attainment and believes we should be doing better at educating our citizens.

Aside from his claim that things aren't all that bad, what is interesting is the promotion of education and the fact that "Bill Knapp is a managing director at the political consulting firm SKDKnickerbocker" On two occasions while investigating claims made in relation to Michelle Rhee and StudentsFirst I found that SKDKnickerbocker was working for her on specific political campaigns.

Michelle Rhee is a Democrat, and I believe SDKKnickebocker sides Democratic (not sure) but I know she raises the ire of some DUers - And I think this opinion piece will also.

And our kids are going to feel the same way when they're faced with the debt that remains after paying off corporations, defense, and entitlements.

He says it himself:

"Since 1967, median household income has grown in all income levels above $75,000 and has decreased in all income levels below that threshold."

These kinds of simple minded (writing, not individual) statements remind me of other solutions...Hey let's just print more money!

I wouldn't piss on Bill Knapp if he was on fire.
