People don't listen when I try to tell them exactly what this little flick says. There was some discussion a little while back about how good paying the jobs are in ND and how you can go there and slam some fast cash then bailout. It doesn't work that way. You become a captive worker and you can't even afford to be there once you get there, it's a trap.

And it makes me ill whenever I hear/see the president tout that we are producing more oil than ever before. He. like all the news media, fail to mention the cost that doesn't seem to outweigh the meager benefit.

I've seen this scenario before, and it always seems to end worse than the the time before.

A few years ago, counter staff at Tim Horton's in Fort Mac started at $18 an hour....which sounds great, until the same news piece reported that a bachelor apt. would fetch $1500 a month. Other prices are in line with those numbers. Basically, a mini-economy running on a high inflation rate.
