From underground lair to chat show: Julian Assange

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said he will host a TV show that will feature a number of “key political players, thinkers and revolutionaries from around the world”.

Assange, an unlikely successor to the likes of Michael Parkinson, is continuing to fight against extradition to Sweden over alleged sex crimes. He is also currently at the centre of a grand jury investigation over sensitive US military information released by WikiLeaks.

The 10-part series will be launched in mid-May and is said to interview guests that will “offer a window on the world tomorrow and their ideas on how to secure a brighter future”.

“Through this series I will explore the possibilities for our future in conversations with those who are shaping it,” said Assange.

Somehow or other I doubt these will be broadcast in the US. Dependent on which of our UK channels broadcast the interviews they may be available online.
