Whom ever these people are in our government hiring Chinese Firms they need to be fired ASAP.

With the massive unemployment in California I can't beleive the guy said they couldn't find enough welders to do the work

2. That is crazy! I am sure many welders would move to get a job.

I live in a very small city of about 11,000 in upstate NY on the St Lawrence River. A Chinese man and his partners have purchased a small college, a former nursing home, a restaurant and numerous houses and land. He is going to be starting a school for Chinese students to come and learn English so that they can go to colleges in the US. He is going to also be building numerous homes for their parents. He is spending millions of dollars on all of this. Many of us are not sure what exactly is going on or why anyone would want this area. We are not a prosperous city by any means. We are "one step away from Canada". Just seems odd that he would want this area.

I'm tired of seeing so much made in china, in our country (it seems like every package or cardboard box says the same thing)! And now this, with the sad state of unemployment going on? WTF!!?

Why can't we do the right thing, not for money, but for our people and country? What's wrong with people these days, sigh

have they figured the cost of unemployment benefits, food stamps, taxes not paid by potential workers who didn't get a job etc etc? This is absolutely unbelievable.

5. Think about it...

Does anyone remember the tainted pet foods that killed many U.S. pets a few years ago, and the ingredient in toothpaste before that? There may even be more that escapes me presently. But, the Chinese supplied both of these. Wouldn't it be interesting if a few years from now bridges started coming down in record number?
