1. Ari Melber: Issa proves "just how severe the hunting of Eric Holder is." WHY do Republicans HATE

Eric Holder?

I know why what calls itself "the Left" wants us to hate him. Is there any over-lap between that and Republican motives? What are the differences?

seem to find it easy to generalize government as inherently evil. Its as if the tools of government immediately corrupt even the best of us. Seriously, I don't know what else Holder could have done to ferret out a high level leak, and certainly haven't heard of ANY alternatives from those brow-beating him.

Holder has mega-balls, and I hope he stays, but I wouldn't fault him if he just said 'Fuck Y'all, I'm outta here!"

half-a-dozen of the other" when it comes to comparing the pluses and minuses of a guy like Holder compared to the pluses and minuses of nothing or as close as they can get to nothing.

I too believe the inherent goodness of humanity is part of its nature and that it is not possible nor desirable to try to write perfect laws for everything, but getting from conditions of de facto oppression and slavery for so many to more fully functional free autonomous moral decision making is not as insignificant as so many want to pretend, especially as the possibility of even greater oppressors manifesting out of chaos should be estimated at least at 50%. IF there's anything like a Right to Life, that includes ALL of us, otherwise it's just another privilege for those who have the opportunity to grab it away from others. As I am known to say pretty often, "Meet the 'new' boss, SAME as the old boss" just wearing different labels. I know that doesn't apply to everyone in what calls itself "the Left", but "the Left" won't be the Left to me until I see some fundamental CHANGE in this stuff.

9. When I never saw Bush/Cheney indicted for the murder of over 4000 Americans, that hurt.

You'd think lying a powerful nuclear nation into war, with the deaths of 100,000's of innocents, would be a priority with a new AG.

5. Eric Holder..

from what I've seen and heard about him (my primary source has been the DU & CNN); strike me as someone trying to do the best he can. Between lawmakers arguing the legality of the laws they themselves made. Governmental agencies deciding the word "primarily" is camouflaged in the word "exclusively" many years ago and it has become the precedent. Mr Holder's apparent commitment to the idea of human dignity by refusing to even consider micromanagement of the people he leads. My Holder's trust of the people appointed to agencies he is not in charge of. His ability to maintain a calm adult demeanor when faced with for all intents and purposes is a spoiled, petulant three year old who thinks himself a king. A chorus of public voices, more in love with their own sound bites than justice or truth, calling out disparagement. I think Mr. Holder has done a wonderful job.

Mr. Issa on the other hand has impressed me in a different way. He seems to have an great distrust of other people as individuals and if they are in a group he is not a member of, his focus on micromanagement indicates him placing a high value on micromanaging; as we view the world through the filter of ourselves, his distrust of others would seem to indicate he, himself, is untrustworthy. His abuse of executive branch like powers while a member of of the Legislative branch clearly shows confusion on American government; He can inquire as to someone's understanding of a law and point out possible violations of laws. He does not serve as an enforcer of laws (executive branch) or get to render guilt of violation of laws (Judaical branch). He seems to think both fall within his grasp. Combine these points with Mr. Issa belonging to a faction in government outraged the executive exercises power they gave his predecessor. Mr. Issa looks more and more untrustworthy, delusional, and full of "what were you thinking?" than Mr. Holder.

DING DING DING the winner by the opponent being technically an idiot, ERIC HOLDER!!!!!!
