and the comment there is:

Published on May 17, 2012

Via Business Insider: "As the war over income inequality wages on, super-rich Seattle entrepreneur Nick Hanauer has been raising the hackles of his fellow 1-percenters, espousing the contrarian argument that rich people don't actually create jobs. The position is controversial — so much so that TED is refusing to post a talk that Hanauer gave on the subject. National Journal reports today that TED officials decided not to put Hanauer's March 1 speech up online after deeming his remarks "too politically controversial" for the site...".

However, a little further research shows:

Not only do they not spend enough but when they own a business that has employees they hire just enough to cover demand and do everything in their power to make those employees more productive so they can decrease that number. Jobs are forced on employers by demand. Low paid workers in fields that could easily pay middle class wages is nothing more then a race to the bottom for us all.

I wish Americans understood why being pro labor is important.

Customers with decent incomes. If your customers don't make a living wage, how can they buy the stuff you sell? THAT'S the argument against the "job creators" meme.

"If lower taxes on corporations and the wealthy led to job creation, we would be drowning in jobs."

Yeah, we've taken that course about as far as the country can stand, and our feet are barely wet.

There is not one partisan remark in the whole talk,. no political parties are mentioned. This is a talk on ideas and it is a sound argument; "the rich do not create jobs the consumers do (in a feed back loop with business)". If anything it is a classist and TED is choosing the 1% class.

The TED gatekeeper clearly felt this message struck to close to home, and sat on the video until shaming forced it out,. this type of mindless gate-keeping clearly got the video MORE attention rather than less,. silly 1%er.

The simple argument in the talk is irrefutable, the "job creator" meme was classist, silly, and inaccurate,. and this talk corrects this untrue meme.
