Impeachment - IRS Scandal - or Much to do about Nothing?

In a hyper partisan state as ours has been for the last thirty years, it becomes easy to see conspiracies and persecutions at every bend. The question is, with the last revelation of the IRS targeting of Right-wing groups for investigations, is that anything other than just doing their jobs? It is the job of the IRS to verify claims which exempt individuals or groups from taxation, with out them doing that job, America would quickly run out of money and go bankrupt.

There IS NO IRS "scandal"...

If you name your organization TEA Party, and let everyone know that "TEA" is an acronym for "Taxed Enough Already", why should anyone be surprised that your application for TAX EXEMPT STATUS falls under scrutiny by the IRS??

If you publicly announced that TEA stood for the "Tax Evasion Alliance", would the Internal REVENUE Service still be expected to "rubber-stamp" your application for TAX EXEMPT STATUS?

Is it NOT the job of the Internal Revenue Service to ferret out potential and probable Tax Evasion??

a group calling it's self ACORN or Liberal Patriots had tried to get the same exemption, we all know that the Right would be up in arms. Then again, we know that the Right is full of hypocrisy.

as being non political, social welfare agencies when it's obvious to anyone with an IQ above room temperature that political shenanigans is their only reason to exist, I'd say no.

The Republicans aren't stupid enough to want that part publicized by a show trial before Congress.

At this point, it's working just the same as it always has, with the big money paying for all the circuses. All of them.

As Liberals, we are above acting like the Radical Right. I've given an argument that seems to make them think twice about this non-sense. This is why I shared it here, I think you'll find that a few loud mouths quieting down after hearing this. I just think that if we use profanity or scream at them, we will lose the argument.

but I think we should go beyond just making them paying their fair share, there needs to be a little public humiliation to stop this in the future. How about a picture of Rove on milk cartons saying stop theft of all type, or something like that.
