Is there any level of border security in the reform bill that can get conservative Republicans to accept the path to citizenship?

Be careful T-Pubs. You have mostly already cut out everything and everyone below your pay scale. You need a few folk around to iron your shirts, wash your dishes, and tend all your babies.

There is no level of border security in the reform bill — short of measures deliberately designed to kill reform — that can get conservative Republicans to accept the path to citizenship.

to the Latino community,

"We value you. You work hard, You care for your families and communities. You are an important part of America today and tin the future.

This deal sucks. The idea of decades before getting citizenship is outrageous. This border wall business is nonsense. Our best deal is to pass on this one. Get out there with us and win the House in 2014 and we'll pass a law that really works for you."

This is how you play hardball. That is the only thing Republicans understand. You have to make them pay consequences for their actions.

The electrified border fence, drones on automatic kill, millions of border agents is really designed to keep the sheeple in so they have to work for slave wages so the 1% can make more money.

It's just one more stupid bluff the Republican's are using to get what they want. I say that Dems call their fucking bluff. Just for once I would like to see the GOP holding the bag.

Where could they find cheap workers, with construction experience, maybe willing to work for less than minimum wage? Hmmm.

That's why I think the Dem's should hold their ground and tell these MFAI (Mother F*cking Ass Idiots) to go right ahead with their wall. Like the President said so famously, 'Please proceed..." Let these idiots make fools out of themselves on the grandest of stages. Either way it's a win/win for the Democrat's.

Just shows how clueless repubicans are and how gullible voters are.

http://blogs.reuters.com/global/2009/10/02/borderwallcosts/

A 2,000 mile state-of-the-art border fence has been estimated to cost between four and eight billion dollars. Costs for a wall that would run the entire length of the border might be as low as $851 million for a standard 10-foot prison chain link fence topped by razor wire. For another $362 million, the fence could be electrified. A larger 12-foot tall, two-foot-thick concrete wall painted on both sides would run about $2 billion. Initially it was estimated that the San Diego fence would cost $14 million -- about $1 million a mile. The first 11 miles of the fence eventually cost $42 million -- $3.8 million per mile, and the last 3.5 miles may cost even more since they cover more difficult terrain. An additional $35 million to complete the final 3.5 miles was approved in 2005 by the Department of Homeland Security -- $10 million per mile.

immigration bill it would fly through on the glorious back of Marco Rubio and help millions of people instantly, forever in a bipartisan (but not bisexual) paradise. Are you telling me that DiFi and Durbin's bigotry did not satisfy their GOP pals as promised? They want more?! Why, no one could have predicted that!
