Papantonio: Political Polarization is Toxic

The following interview originally aired on the June 16th, 2013 episode of Ring of Fire on Free Speech TV. Across the country, there is a growing disconnect between the political ideology of state legislatures, and the voters who put them in power. Thanks to gerrymandering, progressive majorities are being shut out. Ring of Fire host Mike Papantonio discusses the problem with attorneys Joe Cotchett and Dave Teselle.

on his shows but he didn't catch that fool who said the left was getting extreme.

Extreme? Does anyone in this country really have any idea what an extreme left looks?

It looks like communist parties and socialists marching. It looks like people pushing to abolish voting and replace it with a lottery systems of representation. It looks like peace rallies and love-ins. It doesn't look anything like Obama and his policies. It looks nothing like Elizabeth Warren, Allan Grayson or Bernie Sanders. Those are all middle of the rode average liberals. The problem in this country is that we Don't have an extreme left and we need it very badly.

...especially the discussion of how money influences state races.

The only thing I heard about "both sides" was one of them saying that the red states are getting redder, and the blue states are getting bluer. Oh, and the comment that the Democrats are also learning that it takes a lot less $$ to have a big influence in the state races than it does at the national level.
