Thom Hartmann: Time for Congress to Regulate the Supreme Court Clan!

We officially no longer live in a democracy or a democratic republic. We have moved - full-blown - into a constitutional monarchy. And the monarchs {{LOOK AT PLASMA}} are these nine people - the nine justices of the Supreme Court.

The Dancing Supremes are paid shills for corporations and the capitalist elite. Never elected, assigned for life, they are kings of the US. They control congress instead of how the Constitution set it up for congress to control the Supremes. They even have the audacity to select our president for us and ignore votes.

The RepubliCONS, however, are the ones who created this monster. They have continually failed to rein in the kings because they liked their decisions. Now that the Supremes have made a couple of decision they don't like, they get all bent out of shape. But did they worry about the Constitution and the kingly powers of the Supremes when Citizen United became the law of the land? Did they object when the Supremes invalidated votes and selected a dunce for president? No, they were happy they were winning and just went along. Now that the Supremes are really flexing their muscles, they are upset. They should have thought about this when they first allowed the Supremes to take on those kingly powers.

The United States house of representatives is no longer population Based. it's an unconstitutional 435 members that will be shuffled around in perpetuity. This is the reality since the "1911 house Impasse." (Google it.) only twice since 1911 have we had more than 435 House Members. Once when Hawaii entered the Union and once when Alaska entered the union. after the next census cycle it was trimmed back to 435 Members again. That now makes us the second worst represented republic in the world. that's one representative for an average of 750,000 people. Only India is worse. with 1 MP for 1,500,000 people. Unless something is done to correct this we are the citizens of the United States of the Oligarchy.
