How many of these "visitors" would normally be here or the other shut down sites/museums on a normal day. These are the same fools that dislike education in so many forms,want libraries shut down as too costly(rent from Redbox one them said) and have not even given a thought to all those families "shut down" with no money to pay rent or buy food. Totally out of their brain frame is the seniors/disabled that may be living on air and little else if they continue with this charade. 25. With regards to the WWII Memorial

I think they should just let and leave it open. No maintenance, no support, no clean-up, given that there's no money to fund such things. Just let it open to the human elements. Once they see things marred by graffiti or vandalism, they will ask for support and maintenance, to which the government can calmly say, "The government is shut down. You can either come and go and will, or you can allow us to keep it closed."

I think the WWII vets deserve all the accolades they get, but they shouldn't be pawns to the tea bagging idiots destroying the country they fought to defend.
