I'm so impressed with those who've held high positions who've decided to expose this scam. K & R

(15,064 posts)2. Scientology is not a religion other than the fact there are rituals. It is a fascist mind control
entity. It is dangerous and should they should be dealt with as stalkers are dealt with when they follow people. I would call the police.

...that it spends an inordinate amount of time justifying the filmmakers paranoia about being followed. And then very little time is spent on what are obviously the real "secrets of scientology".
Psychological Blackmail and Scientific Illiteracy
Blabbing your deepest psychological thoughts to a stranger, while hooked up to a crude lie detector is never a good idea if you have any concept of The Future. It is, however, a good way to SELL somebody something.
Modern corporate society has improvised this mechanism. It hooks you up to a television set and then implants 'your deepest psychological thoughts'.

Can you clarify?CanSocDem
(3,286 posts)7. Just for you.
By "deepest psychological thoughts" I mean those that (most of us) wouldn't have...
Television prompts these thoughts of illness, disease, violence, dishonesty and hopelessness.
And then it turns around and provides you with the solution to these problems. Popping pills, mass vaccinations, spirited debates about guns and electing more Democrats.
Scientologists just say "What do you think the problem is? Well then, just give US all your money."
Does that help?
.
I was missing the tone, I think.
