'Highly militarized rioters attempt to start civil war in Ukraine' (Original Post) Mika Jan 2014 OP
Well, I thought some of the protesters at the most violent times looked weird as well BelgianMadCow Jan 2014 #1
AND, as was in Venezuela during Chavez, most media is owned by the opposition to the gov't. n/t Mika Jan 2014 #2

and then there's loads of them being loaded in a van near a policestation, iirc.

Ukraine is complex as it is, and clearly there's more than meets the eye. So at least we should consider all sources. Thank you for posting.

in one of the first posts about these riots on DU a while back that we didn't have a dog in this fight (the left, I mean)..

this is a fight between the far right parties and the corporate centrist government...
which is why they were tearing down status of lenin (who has nothing to do with anything)... there was even someone on here celebrating the fact his statues were being torn down (and listing events that took place AFTER lenin was dead to show he was evil and deserves his statues toppled)...

i hate to tell the people of Ukraine, but the people in the opposition are just as corrupt and criminal as the government they are protesting :p

people really shouldn't have an opinion on something if they don't have a full understanding of whats going on... even on DU.

have been calling bullshit on these protests from day one. There is nothing grass-rootsy or Occupy-esque about them. Its purely 50% nato/EU banker interests vs. 50% Russian interests. The country could or should have split in 2, 100 years ago.

the thug who's cracking down in the Ukraine is a Putin puppet, thus RT running this garbage.

One man's opinion on a Russian station condemning people who protest against Russian interests does not leave much to go on. Thanks to all of you who share your views. It helps.

This is simply Russian propaganda against the Ukrainian opposition.
It's the same thing as the rethuglicans calling the media liberal.
