and use it to frame the question. I hate Wolf's tabula rasa approach in journalism. For some reason using facts is not allowed when he is on your screen hence he is not worth a person's time to watch.

Straight out liars!

I have never heard such a generic bunch of lies and pablum spewed forth. Tere was absoluely no specifics, no policies, just generic wishes. Repugs will increase jobs, theyl reduce the debt, will reform tax laws (yeah, so working class pays more and rich less), will reform medical care (by letting insurance company's do whatever they want) while keeping the no pre-existing exclusions. In every case, Repugs do absolutely the opposite of what she's saying. SSDD, as Stephen King so succintly put it.

She just doesn't want the government to tell employers they have to pay women equally. She thinks employers will magically choose to do the right thing themselves. Like believing the market can self regulate, or businesses will investigate their own wrong-doing, or that discrimination will end all by itself when customers refuse to do business with bigots.

22. NO COMPUNCTION
Fri Jan 31, 2014, 02:58 PM
Jan 2014

This woman is a total fraud. As a "christian" and "evangelical" she is without compunction, that sense of anxiety when one knows they are lying. She is without a conscience. She is a psychopath.

In fact, Thomas Sheridan has a very educational video on psychopaths who walk among us. And it appears that most of them wear an "R" after their name.

Thomas Sheridan is an independent alternative artist, author, satirist, comedy writer, musician, public speaker and researcher currently based in the West of Ireland. His illustrations have appeared on the cover of newsstand magazines, books and websites worldwide. He is the author of The Anvil of the Psyche and several other titles.

The Anvil of the Psyche looks at social manipulation through popular culture and marketing. Thomas has also been featured in several films and documentaries. In 2012, following a virtual book-burning fiasco—a kind of flying-saucer fatwa—by fanatical members of an obscure alien worshipping religious group, Sheridan turned his attention to documentary making and film production concerning mind control, free speech and other consciousness rights issues.

In October 2013, Sheridan was asked to give a lecture to the Irish Mental Health Professionals on Psychopathology in Popular Culture and within the Corridors of Power, along with profiling and spotting the dangers posed by extremist terror/death cults embedded within the New Age/Alternative movement. The 2012 Salman Rushdie-style attack on Sheridan resulted in a huge upsurge in interest with Sheridan's work, which now reaches into both alternative and mainstream audiences.

They can lie all the time, and all they want. Doesn't make a damn bit of difference if it's truth or fiction, because MOST Americans only hear the lie. They never hear it IS a lie. They never hear the retraction - if there is one at all.

This is effective propaganda BS from politics. It can work both ways, but seems to be working well for the reich wingers since as far back as I can remember. Remember those "weapons of mass destruction", and "the mushroom cloud" that was coming? Just bull shit. But we eat it up, and a small minority of informed citizens ever realize it was a fookin' lie in the first place.

This is in the first chapter of the RNC Playbook. Lie, cheat and steal! As long as YOU WIN! God loves ya!

The far right are some kind of cult. Its not that I forgive them of their bigotry and mean-spiritedness but especially the Christofascist fundies are so programed and in fear of giving the Other side a leg up or they believe it will be the end of the world as we know it that they are willing to lie without even thinking.

But Blitzer is such a complete joke. He's been in the news business for what?..decades? And he's just as ignorant as he was when he started. Why should Earl have to give the retort that Wolf SHOULD have given?
Wolf works simply as a facilitator, he just gives them a platform to mislead the American public. A platform that, despite the ratings, is regarded generally as a long established credible news network. So viewers, especially those who are not as informed and get their news mainly from TV, are left with a notion that "hmmmm...I guess the GOP has the same position as the Dems on this...who knew?..."

Her lie doesn't stand: if she supports equal pay for equal work personally, she certainly doesn't support it politically. If she personally supports equal pay and yet can't bring herself to vote for equal pay laws, she doesn't have the courage of her convictions and isn't fit to have a leadership position. Do Congresswomen earn as much as Congressmen? In order to make the Congresswomen like this one understand what the pay disparity means, should they be paid .77 for every $1.00 a Congressman makes? Would they like earning less than their male counterparts? If they got paid less than the Congressmen, would they support equal pay more strenuously? Are they like the pigs in Animal Farm? "Some of us are more equal than others?"

And like other Republicans who routinely lie, does she understand about video tape, the Congressional Record, Roll Call and other permanent historical records that can be referred to by any interested person and even quoted from on TV and in newspapers? Is she stupid as well as dishonest? And she has a following of constituents who are ok with the lying and the stupidity? And the same constituents are patriotic God-fearing Americans? There is just so much wrong with this.

...she doesn't support it in reality...just in spirit. It's just like when any one of those people tells a whopper, gets called on it, and then shrugs it off with something like, "It wasn't meant to be a factual statement." What a sad, sad state of affairs. It sucks growing up a cynic only to realize again and again that the world is even worse than you previously thought.
