martini lunches, no yachting trips. ONLY for the time they are actually doing their jobs. punching time clocks, all the things a minimum wage worker has to do.

salaries and, instead, are going to do a lot of fundraising and collection of bribes by the tens of thousands, should be a HUGE topic for our news media - IF they still want to be seen as our Fourth Estate.

So, why the blackout?

Just imagine if Nancy Pelosi had said that back in 2007 when Duhbya was pResident. You wouldn't hear the end of it, and every print, broadcast, and cable news network would prominently place the heading "Democrats Don't Plan to Pass Any Legislation Until 2008!" on the front page, above the fold; radio stations would lead in and end with excoriation of Democrats, and every single cable network would ensure that every single talkinghead they have would crucify every single House Democrat - most specifically, Speaker Pelosi - day in, day out.

Where is the outrage now that Republicans have decided to do nothing for the rest of the year? All I hear is a thundering . . . silence.

It is the middle of February and these clowns are hanging up the towel? Remember Pelosi saying that no one goes home until what is on the table gets voted on? That seemed so reasonable back in the old 4 year old past. And now we have a leadership that says they will not be dealing with a litany of items. Just the opposite!
Pelosi: Go go go! Boehner/Cantor: No no no. FFS

They are now damned if they do and damned if they don't.

If they do pass an Immigration law, let's say, they have lost their base. And if they don't, they've lost the public. The only thing that will save them now is gerrymandering.

I supported President Obama and still do, however, I wish he would be more forceful and outright condemn the lack of courage by the MSM to properly inform the citizens. He should condemn the Republicans' obstructionism and stop trying to pacify them. The majority of Republicans hate him as has been demonstrated by their cheering on Ted Nugent's filthy racist attacks on Obama and his wife. I sure as hell wouldn't morn if someone would kick as ass.
